Presidential Gourmet Client Celebration

Last week, Presidential Gourmet partnered up with the Royal Ontario Museum to host our first ever client celebration. Over 150 guests came to preview new menu offerings prepared by our executive chef Jay Suppiah, while indulging in wine and enjoying a private tour of the Chihuly Exhibit.

The iconic dinosaurs, fossilized plants, and insects captivated clients in the Age of Dinosaurs Gallery. While guests roamed the gallery, passing hors d’oeurves were made available consisting of huili huili chicken, shrimp ‘n’ grits, braised pork belly buns, and portobello poke. Clients enjoyed the delicious morsels and ready for the highly anticipated food stations.

With everyone being a foodie at heart, there was no food station left unturned. The Japanese Sujuki Market was a first stop for many, with chicken katsu sushi rice topped with scallions, sesame seeds and nori. The savoury and unique combination of flavours was a delicious starting point.

Next stop was the Maple-Candied Muskoka Trout Station. The pairing of trout with smoked cucumber, citrus segments, fennel slaw, and cocoa-vanilla vinaigrette was a refreshing bite and a definite crowd pleaser. Lastly, the Deconstructed Beef Wellington was also another one for the books. Topped with truffle jus, king oyster mushroom and roasted brussels sprouts; it had guests going for thirds.

As chardonnay was being tossed back, clients hovered around the beautifully presented dessert display. Guests could not resist walking past and taking a few of the red velvet cake pops, éclairs, macarons, and other sweet perfections created by our pastry chef Scott Bowser. If that wasn’t enough to get your taste buds going, clients relaxed to make room for seconds and viewed the eye-catching Chihuly Exhibit. Everyone was simply in awe of the beautiful art collection.
